What I hate so much about trying to diy is the argument about where to put the screws and being told I can put it directly on shingles in one video and put wood under it in another.
I am trying to do this on a mobile home that seems to have two layers of shingles. Little money and little time.

Although you are correct about the lap, you need minimum of 1 screw on each side of each rib at the eave and some codes require one in the middle for a total of 3 screws between each rib.

First rule of metal roofing never listen to anyone who screws the flats, only screw the rib. But I understand there are different levels of quality for everyone and your probably thing that itās ok or ā thatās not codeā fact is itās wrong for more reasons than one and you can try and justify it all you want as Iām sure you will but they will erode years faster and leak 100% guaranteed donāt care what you say or what you think you know. Just because you saw someone do it once doesnāt mean you know how to do it.
