The issue is that when women began working, they were supposed to also start to split care tasks at home with their partner but society hasnt been great at that switch. Instead, women are just expected to do everything. Its unfortunate. Studies have shown homes are happier and more stable when both partners are fully involved in both work and care tasks for the home, and the children from those homes are also happier and do better. We are starting to see this shift finally in younger generations, so i have hope lol

I’m 28 and chose not to have kids. Because yeah I’m selfish according to most people but also I recognize how much time energy dedication it takes to be a parent and I knew and have always knows it’s hard enough to just take care of yourself. All my friends have kids and the amount of respect I have for mothers is insane yall truly are super hero’s.

We lost our village. We also now need a duel income. But do it all! You can’t! Well,hey put your kid in before and after care that costs money! A decent amount of money at that too! Oh and basic things like food are rising in price…you have bills to pay?
It is insanity and we wonder why mental health of mothers is plummeting? We have no real supports. And if you struggle financially…it makes it so much harder. Work long odd hours (like healthcare) - there is no place to take your kid for the hours you work. And the cost of a nanny (who should be paid well) is the cost of your paycheck.

You're only supposed to do what works best for your family. Nothing wrong with limiting the kids' activities, ignore that side hustle and the corporate ladder if you want to focus on your family. If the kifs are old enough, they can take care of the laundry on a rotating basis, they can help with dinner. If you're single, give yourself a BIG break and cut back on everything non-essential. If you're married and you both work all day, Dad can and should absolutely be doing this stuff, too. Its part of being a family.❤

Let’s look at the obvious facts around here. Ever since they put women in the workforce it only benefited the corporations. While the traditional family life started to decline. I know I sound crazy but we need to put two and two together. They have been trying to break up the families for years!!! If the dad (given this is a traditional family) doesn’t make enough, then the wife will work and then they won’t have time with their kids as much. As we look around in today’s society A LOT of young people who don’t have kids and are single are working so much and they still can’t afford to live comfortably.
