I am tired of hearing about how monsters should have less HP, if your players are going into every combat with full HP, and you're playing with half to 1/3 HP you are not playing a tactical game you were playing a loot monkey game. Which is very boring and only drives a few tactics from the players. I feel this play style makes Sorcerers shine brighter than melee combatants

Had an nearly epic fight with an ancient-ancient red dragon. Some of our party didn't show. The dragonborn paladin charged into the volcano yelling at the dragon, went 1v1. Got knocked about until the rest of the party got into range. What's two sorcerers, and tabaxi monk to do? Short party provided distance support and distractions.
So it was a poor, well actually pretty gold rich, but magic poor dragon..
The poor dragon had gotten sick wasn't leaving the lair's shelter, was attled, confused, had only gotten one breath or two uses, had a smoker's cough, and limited bubbly lava floor action after a stacked tital wave sorceress effort.
It was nearly epic. After a consolidated effort the Poor thing folded like a wet noodle. Felt sorry for the poor thing.
