A new study has been released from the American Heart Association that says an 8-hour time-restricted eating linked to a 91% higher risk of cardiovascular death. But is that really what the data shows? Will intermittent fasting cause a heart attack?

In todayā€™s video weā€™re gonna take a look at the study and determine if it is of high or low quality. I think this is a very important skill for everyone to have because a lot of the scientific research out there is fraudulent and funded by industry, and you need to be able to quickly discern what you should pay attention to and what you shouldnā€™t.

This research is coming from the American Heart Association's Epidemiological & Prevention Lifestyle & Cardiometabolic Health Scientific Sessions 2024. This conference just happened March 18 through the 21st. I have linked the press release and abstract where you can read all about the study itself and how it is conducted below. I've also linked the poster presentation from the conference.

Yeah, that's statistically, likely, from the same people who want to give you a medication.

Most people donā€™t eat food, we eat processed food like substances. Our bodies need actual food. Taking a break from processed trash is good for anyone. I donā€™t need a study to tell me differently.

Doesn't it seem weird the more we try to get healthy the more they have " new studies " saying something bad about it but nothing new about the Mc heart attack burger

It's only people living in the so called western world that think fasting, whether intermittent or longer, is something new šŸ¤£. Back home growing up, you ate in the morning and then you stopped eating for hours, perhaps till the evening and then you stopped until the next day. This new fad of intermittent fasting is how humans should be but we have gone the opposite way with constant munching and in so doing, created a whole host of health issues.

Except literally everyone engages in intermittent fasting. If you are not currently eating, you are currently fasting.

Ask yourself why the human body has one of the biggest livers of all living creatures. And what the mission of the liver is, and what it does and what it produce. Also, how was the humans able to populate the whole world, if we are designed to eat every 3 hours?
