Gloria is honestly incredible, right off the bat you expect her to be just some gold digger but she really isn’t, she’s so wholesome, she loves Jay and she’s always trying to bring Jay’s family together and make Jay a more loving father to his already grown-up kids. Generational trauma/neglect. Jay improves in the show so much though. Love his growth. It even got to the point where he helped plan Mitch’s venue and walked him down the aisle. It’s just a shame he wasn’t more affectionate through all those early years.

Wish I had someone like Gloria in my life way back when. My father never hugged or hit me, never kissed me or said I love you. We didn't celebrate any holidays or bdays in our house growing up, my mother was 75 and I was 40 the first time I ever remember hugging or kissing her.
