All those working diligently to put out that fire should be thank by the people who loved that pier to walk out, eat at the cafe, to fish and to just watch all the fish down below…It will be rebuilt with 90% of the pier in good shape thanks to the Oceanside Fire Department. There are still hot spots being put out today where Ruby’s Cafe stood at the end over the ocean!! It was amazing to watch the Coast Guard boats the coordination of the all the helicopters fighting with their big tankers to drop water from above and all the other fire fighting rigs spraying water up under the end of the pier…‼️
