What do you mean by these classic functions not being there anymore? Create new mask/Select Subject/Select Sky/Brush/Linear Gradient/Radial Gradient, Color Range, Luminance Range etc. It's all there.

It seems there is a problem with oil filter since the new update PS 2022. When you click preview in oil filter window on, off and back on there is an off color square in the photo. sometimes red or green. Using a Windows 10 machine fully upgraded

I always wait a week or 2 before doing major updates. I let others find the bugs and get pissed off first.

The brush, gradient, etc. adjustment tools are still there - you have to create a mask first. Then you can access the adjustment tools by clicking on either the “add” or the “subtract” button.
