Why are so many men insecure about periods? Its not a sexual thing, its a painful thing that many women go through. I LOVE that LADS have it in the game. As a LADS player, I don't really disagree about it being fanservice and a gooner game. I definitely can agree that it IS with some of the memories. The crazy thing to me, is that people are saying that the period tracker is what MADE it that, which is what I think most of us have the biggest problem with. ๐ญ

i still don't understand why people in the comments compare hoyo games to this. LADS is an otome game, a dating sim, the only kther gacha dating sim from hoyo is tears of themis.

I don't think people are denying the fact that it's got fanservice, that's what an otome is! It is meant to have it, that's what the genre of the game offers! :)
The thing players are complaining about is the fact that it is being REDUCED to a 'gooner game'. Yes, the marketing does not help its case, but at the same time men get as much fanservice in games that have nothing to do with it and we all accept it as normal.
LADS has a really complex and interesting story and the world it's set in is also fantastic. The characters (love-interests) are incredibly well written. It's also romantic, cute, heartbreaking, sad. It is story driven for a reason.

LADS player here. I'd say, yes its a gooner game. This game is 18+ in China after the recent anniversary banners.
But someone in twitter said that its a gooner game because of the period tracker added in the recent update which is atrocious ๐ฌ. LADS has gooner elements but I didn't realise people were calling it a gooner game BECAUSE OF THE PERIOD TRACKER, wtf is wrong with people LMFAO. That's such a genuinely odd connection to make? If you find it a weird addition that's fine and if you see it as helpful that's fine you're entitled to your opinions but the period tracker is the LEAST of the anti-gooner worries.
