When people say "im f2p" it usually mean 2 things.
1- they're showing you how many characters/weapons/constellations they have without spending anything
2- they're telling you that all these artifacts are without refreshing resin with primos (yeah f2ps can refresh, but no sane f2p would)

Having better artifacts doesn’t mean that you "put in more effort" it just means you're luckier...
Whales can even be crazy enough to buy resin with primogems. Thats why the "f2p status" can matter.
I sincerely doubt a whale who spends money to C6R5 a character isn't any more dedicated than a f2p person

Yea i like having the feeling that me and my new characters have a sort of adventure bonding moment before leveling them up completely because i feel like the journey is the destination! it feels so weird to me if Im able to level them all at once without getting to know them.

Its because artfiacts are kind of p2w. U get about 20-30 fragile resin more by simply buying it with money (bp, the boxes in the genesis crystal shop, etc) 2 thats depending on the month 1200 up to 1800 more resin which is 60 all the way up to a hundred (based on ur luck in domains) more artifact roles aka 10-13 days of fully farming artifscts as f2p

Exactlyy. Had someone join me in co-op a few days ago asking me to rate their c6r1 scara that had 100 crit dmg and 60 crit rate, then he got mad when I said he should work on his artifacts. Like wtf😭

Don't forget that also means much less resin since those who spend money usually also use primogems to get resin, and if they buy the battle pass they also gain more fragile resin i think, and mora etc which helps significantly for building characters too.

I’m f2p and mainly a collector so only really have c0 of all my non-standard banner 5*. Im just really lucky in the genshin and manage to get most characters. I do need to work on lvling and getting artifacts for my characters though, lol.

I'm pay a little big here and there, nothing big, but it's mainly for the BP and the monthly Welkin primos thing. So not really a F2P or whale.
But the fact people pay money just to go through the whole process of getting more resin to get artefacts is insane... And the reality is you're still not guaranteed 5* artefacts or even good ones because the bs is still random on the domains. I don't get why some would waste money on something dumb. At least with talents and weapon materials it's not such a loss and you can get still get what you want. Same with constellations for feature banners, especially of 5*. I'd rather get just get a new character, pull the 4* stuff and have someone new to work with. But hey not my money so who I to say.
I just tend to throw the gladiators/wanderers at the mystic box. I tend to usually always have far too many so I can also spare (and waste) them. If it was down to effort, many of us would have great artefact builds by now lol
The wish banners are difficult as it is, let alone using primos in such a way.
