The Aghori tradition, like many other spiritual paths, is deeply symbolic and goes beyond literal interpretations of actions or appearances. Below is a counter-argument in favor of the Aghori practices and the symbolism of Lord Shiva in the context provided:

### 1. **Symbolism Over Literalism**:
The practice of meditating on corpses in the Aghori tradition is not about being "impure" but rather a profound representation of the transient nature of life. The corpse symbolizes the ultimate truth of human existence—death. For Aghoris, confronting death directly is a way to transcend fear, attachment, and dualistic concepts of purity and impurity. It is a form of meditation meant to overcome the illusion of the material world and realize a state of oneness with the Divine, just as Lord Shiva is often portrayed as the ultimate ascetic who transcends conventional norms.

### 2. **Divine Immunity and the Concept of Impurity**:
In the context of Lord Shiva, who is considered the supreme being embodying both creation and destruction, the notion of disease or impurity does not apply. Shiva represents the cosmic force that governs all life and death, transcending any limitations or boundaries of the physical world. He is depicted as beyond dualities—neither pure nor impure, neither healthy nor diseased. This is why symbols associated with him, such as ashes from cremation grounds and serpents, are not seen as contaminants but as expressions of his mastery over life and death.

### 3. **Spiritual Healing and Transcendence**:
For Aghoris, the association with death, decay, and so-called impure substances is a means of spiritual transformation and healing. They aim to purify the mind by transcending attachment to the physical body and worldly concerns. The belief is that engaging with what is feared or considered taboo can lead to a higher spiritual realization, a concept similar to facing one's deepest fears to overcome them. In this view, diseases are seen not as contagions to the Divine but as part of the material world that can be transcended through spiritual awareness.

### 4. **Metaphysical Context Over Physical Concerns**:
As a deity, Lord Shiva is not bound by the laws of biology or physical diseases as humans understand them. The spiritual realm operates differently from the physical. The stories and symbols of Shiva meditating in cremation grounds or associating with "impure" elements serve as metaphors for his role as a destroyer of ignorance and bringer of enlightenment. These actions highlight the idea that the Divine is not sullied by the world's impurities but instead purifies all through presence and consciousness.

### 5. **Aghori Compassion and Unity**:
Aghoris believe in absolute unity and compassion. They see no distinction between pure and impure, high and low, clean and dirty—believing everything to be a manifestation of the same divine source. This non-discriminatory acceptance allows them to serve the marginalized and downtrodden without judgment. Their practice is a challenge to conventional morality, urging a deeper understanding that goes beyond appearances and societal norms, much like Lord Shiva, who accepts and encompasses all aspects of existence.

In essence, the Aghori way and the symbolism of Lord Shiva are about spiritual liberation, transcending societal boundaries, and embracing the totality of existence—life, death, purity, and impurity alike—without distinction. These practices invite a deeper engagement with the mysteries of existence rather than a superficial judgment based on physical or cultural standards.

One could question; FIRST: "Egaged in meditation sitting on human corpse's!" SECOND: "How can anything be impure?" A person can potentially contract diseases like tuberculosis, hepatitis B and C, HIV, Creutzfeldt-Jakob, meningococcal disease and Group A streptococcal infection. SO, living conditions are NOT so pure! What if Lord Shiva manifested in a form where contact to theses diseases transmitted to Lord Shiva? How would Lord Shiva explain to his wife, Devi Parviti. Why she has a sore throat and HIV? Please note, I am not mocking anyone's Religion. To do so, would say little about my Religion. Instead, am noticing discrepancies in saying Aghora's words and actions are NOT in agreement with each other!
