Easy to make, healthy, colourful and a wholesome meal 😊
Beetroot chapathi
Capsicum in peanuts and coconut
milk sauce
Sprouts and vegetables salad
Plain rice
Curd
Onion
Beetroot Chapathi
Ingredients
Beetroot puree - 1/2 cup
Whole wheat flour - 1 cup
Ragi flour - 2 tbsps
Cumin powder- 1/4th tsp
Amchur powder - 1/4th tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/4th tsp
Pepper powder- 1/4th tsp
Salt - 1/4th tsp ( or to taste)
Water - little if required
Melted ghee - 2 tsps
Method
1. Pressure cook one small beetroot with skin for 1 whistle. Peel the skin and grind to a smooth purée.
2. Add all the ingredients except water to a mixing bowl.
3. Mix well and knead it to soft, pliable dough. Add water only if it is required.
4. Cover and rest the dough for 30 mins.
5. Divide into to 6 portions and make chapathi.
6. Brush the chapathi with little melted ghee and serve hot
