My dad introduced me into cars, mom complained about it. Dad said to my mom, "at least he will not have money for drugs"

All the tiny pieces working together in such out of the box ways. Cars are literal art

Ever since I started watching F&F I’ve changed from jets to cars, I’ve now always liked cars, their pieces of loud and mechanical art, even though I sometimes don’t understand cars, I like them.

It's the same reason these same people (men in particular) are generally also into other hobbies such as watches, firearms, computers, etc. There's a mechanical function they serve where precise engineering is paramount. The beauty of a handcrafted or specific function that an individual can interact with and service. Entire communities are foundationally based on this.

It's because cars aren't just transportation. They're pieces of history that reflect the opinions, skills, and tastes of both the period it was made, the designers, and the owner themselves. Every car offers a different experience, and idk why but some of us find it relaxing, exciting, or nostalgic to take a step back and enjoy the ride instead of simply commuting to our destination.

Cars are not just pieces of transportation, they are freedom of expression. One may make them art, or efficient, or perfect for a specific function. They have personality. All cars do. It's like they have a soul. I dont know how to explain it, but everytime i get to watch people's project car, i never fail to smile because i know that it will never stop giving someone joy.

I wouldn’t say they make me happy, I just love driving and find it thrilling. Where it’s an old truck, sports car, electric or combustion, I just like the feeling of driving. Plus, even people who aren’t into cars at all, probably spend a lot of their day riding in a car, so we probably get attached in that way. Even just seeing other people enjoying their car (whatever car it may be), on the road or on a video, is exciting. Regardless if I’m driving fast or slow, it’s just fun, for me at least. I’m sure others would agree to some extent.

I feel a bit more alive in them. I will forever chase that high I got when I first tracked a car. If only it all weren’t so expensive…

I love cars, but I live for bikes. There is no other feeling than being free on two wheels

My car feels alive to me, I have a connection with it on an emotional level. It's every little piece working together to rev the engine to 9k rpm. The induction noise, the backfire when I let off the throttle, the different ways my car reacts to the weather just as I would. The need to care for and better my car like I would a child. I'm not sure but I love them.

My dad is a drag racer. Well, all of my Dads brothers are into it. Theres 2 things you need in life: to eat, and you gotta get to work... So i leaned how to cook and i was a sue chef and i know how every part of the engine works and how to replace it! So i think thats all that matters in life...

It’s the sensations and the community. To put it simply, the sound, the vibration on my body, the acceleration, the appearance, and the people I can find through this with shared experience. That’s why I love cars.

It’s the feeling of acceleration, the suspension, the brakes, the shifting, the exhaust sound, the mechanical noise, the shiny paint, the feel of the grip when cornering, the mental stress release when working on your pride and joy, the turning back looking at it and being proud of it as your accomplishment.
