I feel this dude so much, but at least when i started learning, to make sense of sounds i sounded out, i had forums. And at the time i was like "oh, that's phrygian then" not even knowing what that meant. And i gotta admit. There's a different sense of soul and harmony you get from figuring shit out rather than studying it. And it really comes through when you have your shit strapped on, listening to random music and you just feel it through. And it's a pure ecstacy when you hit the exact notes going through the motions of the song you're playing to. It's a crazy and underrated feeling.

Charlie Parr is an amazing musician.
I appreciate the insights, and most of all his playing. He's been an inspiration for me as I've been tackling learning to play a resonator in open D.
