Just watched it. Totally sucked like long legs. When you have to look at the Internet to find out what actually happened then you know the movie has failed.

It was schizophrenia. It had gone so long untreated that she was psychotic. Her kids developed it as well. The hand on Sam’s shoulder in the picture was showing that he has it also. When he said “she loves me more at the end, it was letting you know that he did say it earlier and was experiencing early symptoms.
