I love love love everything I have read by NK Jemisin. I loved the whole Great Cities series. These were my first NK Jemisin books. I really liked the Broken Earth Series too, but not as much. I loved the characters in the Great Cities series. The characters were so snarky and funny and bitchy.

I listened to this on audio and I did not like the production. But I read her short story collection that had a story that is obviously the seed of this series and I loved it. I need to go back and read a physical copy and read book 2.
