Don't eat. Eat an appetizer. Eat at home and be pleasant without causing a scene. Or, better yet, suck it up. I'm very texture/taste sensitive since I'm autistic, so usually I'll just not eat/eat appetizers, but like, if you tolerate the food, just eat it. Literally, just do this for one night, because the dinner is not about you. If you genuinely do have issues like me, don't eat, just eat at home after and be pleasant at the meal. It's not that hard. YTA.

As someone who isn’t much of a beef eater in general, I get it, but guess what? I’ll suck it up and eat a burger or a steak if need be, unless you have special dietary restrictions like being vegan, or you’re taste/texture sensitive, then if you actually loved him this wouldn’t be a question, you can compromise for one day
