I main support but i also play tank a lot, and while its fun theres a lot more responsibility and pressure. People are also more likely to blame you aline if you lose, moreso than they blame supports. It also relys a lot more on counterswaps than any other role, as well as having to switch to work with your teammates better (unless your supports do it) which can take some of the enjoyment out of it.
But its still fun to play.

I really do only play support. I am a tank hugger. It always feels like the tank is the only one that will peal for me. I love tank mains.

Is it the worst season for tank? Or is it the worst because they still haven't fixed the tank experience and the frustration has just mounted? Hard to tell, tbh. I find myself frustrated at my tank pretty often but I also find myself cruising on an easy ride to victory with some tanks.

Weirdly enough Season 9 is the most I've ever played tank. I'm pretty new to OW2 since i started back in S5 but i wasnt a big fan of DPS and Sup at the start of the season so i just started playing a lot of tank.

If a team shuts down the enemy tank, the enemy tank either needs to be way better, or swap to something that doesnât get shut down (Hog, Orisa, Ball, etc meta). But, if the ow team sees them surviving too much, there survivability is nerfed, so all tanks can get shut down. When a tanks survivability is nerfed, though, there damage tends to increase. That leaves the enemy tank with 2 options; counter pick the enemy tank to make it a 4v4, or choose a high damage tank and try to kill the rest of the team. That leaves 3 metas: the Doom meta, the Orisa meta, and the Mauga meta. Needless to say, people donât like that, so most of the unique tank mains stop playing tank or conform to the meta because itâs just easier.

I started as a tank main then swapped to dps and support bc tank is to hard and I don't have the game sense yet to play take well. (I started playing the game a few months back, get a lot of hate for being not great at it but I still like it(

i feel for my tanks but not when they are yelling HEAL ME while getting no picks and doing nothing about the enemy doomfist killing their entire team just 5 feet behind them. not even throwing a spear or rock or charging at the doom once. i'm deffo saying tank diff for that.
