Jesus is the mediator of the new covenant and His blood was shed on the cross to be an attornment for our sins once and for all. The apostle Paul in Romans 9-10 chapters talked about the zeal of the Jewish people, but this zeal is not according to knowledge, they have not believed in the righteousness of God through faith and rather have put up their own way .
