As someone who buys all their games digitally, this is a big deal. I hated the eshop so much on OLED I’d often give up searching for games out of frustration!

Nintendos e shop always goes slow on their hardware that’s being replaced at the end of life. I remember the eshop on 3ds ran smooth for the first couple years then after many system updates and a new system on the horizon the e shop was terrible. The switch’s eshop ran smooth to in the beginning but about 2 years in it started getting choppy and slow. Same will likely happen with the switch 2 as it gets more updates. Idk what they do like if they’re allocating less system resources to the store as the console ages in an attempt to keep the gameplay as good as it can be or if the shop just gets more clunky as the console ages.
