Jack car up and check wheel itself. Had this after having my brakes replaced, they didnt tighten the nuts fully started making this noise after a certain speed. Failing that might be worth jacking the front up and checking it out anyway to see if it is anything obvious.

Definitely sounds like a bad wheel bearing or a failing cv joint - check your cv boots for tears. I would take it to a trusted mechanic, a wheel bearing job should run you 250, cv could be more depending on the issue. Good luck.

I've had a clunking noise in the front of my car once which was fixed by loosening then re torquing the wheel nuts. My wheel maybe got a bit loose. A friend had clunking because a bolt on his brake caliper carrier came loose. Does the noise go when you press the brakes? Does the noise change with a change of road speed or engine speed? Have you had anything done to the car in the last month or two? Does the noise get louder or quieter when going around a left or right bend? CV axle trouble starts when accelerating around corners and quiet going straight. If the noise goes when breaking it would suggest brakes, maybe a loose bolt. Did the noise get progressively that loud or was it instantly that loud after no obvious issue?

You must have a leaking gasket from the steam tank, you should reduce the amount of coals you shovel into the furnace at half and head straight to the depo!

Clicking could be something in the wheel (like a rock/nail etc). Could be wheel bearings. Check visually for stuff in tread of tire. If nothing, jack that wheel off the ground and try to shake it. If the wheel moves or cluncks at all, it's a wheel bearing. Less likely, it could be something brake related, like a chip out of the rotor. Again, not likely but possible. Sorry for all the other shit answers.

Do you only hear the noise when the car is rolling? Might be something on your tire that is making the noise. Check the tire valve it might be ripped.

Usually small clicking/rattling when letting off the brake would indicate loose brake pads (e.g. poor quality parts or missing shim) - alternatively it could be the backing plate is making contact with the disc. Best to get it checked out at a trusted shop

Vibration in steering wheel? Could be a wheel bearing. Stone or gravel in between brake pad\disc and wheel.
