I've been running over a dozen of the Dakota Lithium 10Ah batteries in all sorts of projects for almost 8 years now. I'll pull a random one out to capacity test every now and then and they still test at over 95% capacity. Very high quality batteries.

Eco worthy 20Ah battery is about $70 normally and on sale for $65 frequently on Amazon. It has the barrel connector port on the case along with screw terminals so you can add whatever type of connector you want for powering radios and such.

Radio made easy just did a livestream where he makes a Y cable that has Anderson powerpole & the barrel connector to F-Type Terminals. This way you can charge & discharge simultaneously

I have had that battery for 3 years now and love it. Funny thing is I also use black tape to secure the wires.

I received my $99 two-pack and 3A charger. One will go in my EMP can so the BMS circuit is protected. My NOCO Charger should charge them in a jiffy. The Dakota charger took about 3 hours out of the box. Cheers de WN7D!

20A continuous is close to running a 100W radio, but my (retired EE) choice would be to not run it close to the limit except in emergency.

Likewise for charging. My smaller (6ah and 15ah) batteries are charged with 2A, and 50ah is charged with 10A.

You mentioned using the charger. Am I having a DUH moment, or is it also set up to recharge in a grid-down situation?

Stupid question alert lol so I have a 13.8v and 14.9v power supply which can supply up to 500amps can just slap a charge controller between the supply and batteries and charge up?

I like dakotas brand but their LiFePo4 batteries don’t nearly have enough constant amperage ratings for amateur radio.

The lack of fuses makes me cringe a little... 😆

Probably also hoping for a sponsorship since they're being pushed all over the web.
