Malang is also known for the Cwie Mie (chicken noodle soup) and Bakso (meatballs), known as Cwiemie Malang
Ayam Goreng Tenes (tennis fried chicken - there used to be rows of tennis courts in the area, hence the name).
There is also a Vietnamese and Thai food, called ThaiNam that you should try in Malang.
There are also some of the best Chinese restaurants in there.
