I need to show this short to my husband. It may help him to understand why I get really emotional when he demands my attention when I'm hyperfixated on something. When this occurs I get so frustrated I cry. It's awful.

I get so angry when people interrupt me if I'm doing something that will take a minute. Like just wait please.
I also remember a time in high school i was reading in a teacher's office where 2 teachers were talking. All i heard was " but you didn't hear that, oh i don't think she heard it". They wouldn't tell me what i didn't hear. That haunts me to this day

This was me when I was little and although I’m not officially diagnosed, I do believe I am definitely neurodivergent and maybe on the spectrum. My mom always thought I was purposely ignoring her when she was calling me and I was watching TV. But I literally did not hear her at all. And even still sometimes it happens with my kids and they think I’m ignoring them and I truly just don’t even hear anything else when I’m hyper fixated on something

This used to happen to me all the time when I was a kid and they thought that I was deaf. I never got help or diagnosis.😢

Definitely can relate!!! I have twin so sons with neurodivergent diagnoses. One is high functioning autistic with ADHD and his twin ADHD
