Five years ago, Gerald suffered a fall that left him permanently paralysed from the neck down, and confining him to a mobile wheelchair.

Hearing words like “new normal” and “never again” in a time of such darkness stung even more so than on a day-to-day basis. And yet, digging down in the depths of his soul and reaching for every ounce of courage and positivity it drove him to accomplish more than he thought possible, and pushed him to achieve the impossible and he certainly has gone on to accomplish some extraordinary things through film, modeling and public speaking.

This week he joins us on the #imperfectlyperfectpodcast to chat all about his story, his struggle through to recovery, his mental health, overcoming adversity and using that very courage and positivity he speaks of to carve out an impressive career in Hollywood.
