Theyāre not your friends. They are just āfriendly ā with you. I agree, a surprise party for twins usually involves two people. It was a surprise party given by friends for a friend. If yāall were children, or even teenagers, I could see the whole twin thing. As adults, something totally different.

I agree with others, after a while the ātwin thingā can be boring. Maybe for once the friends wanted to celebrate him vs both of them. Iām not a twin lol but I mean it makes sense to do separate bdays as you get olderš¤£š¤I means he couldāve easily said āno thanksā and not go or just be happy as a guest and celebrate her broth

You could have opted out and just not gone to the party. You could have celebrated your birthday on your own with your friends or family. There's a possibility that your twin has mentioned wanting to celebrate their birthday on their own without you. So their friends probably did the party that way. They were just careless in inviting their friends twin. I don't have a twin but I have a sister who is 3 years younger than me and her birthday is 2 weeks after mine. My parents wanted to save money and just celebrated our birthdays together on her birthday when we were younger. It sucked so I can see where a sibling even a twin would want their own party.

You don't need a reason, unless it's your partner giving birth or something you aren't obligated to attend an event, and with the added disrespect? NTA.
