I still can’t believe I saw this with my own eyes in NYC 😮

We had just gotten off the subway in Queens and the train was leaving the station when I saw this. Two kids climbed up onto the top of the subway train and were subway surfing! I’ve heard too many stories about kids who have fallen off and gotten seriously injured or passed away while trying to subway surf, and in the subway, I also constantly hear reminders to kids not to do it 🚇

I don’t know what they were trying to do up there, if they were trying to film a video, but we do not support subway surfing. As a Public Service Announcement, DO NOT subway surf in NYC (or anywhere) on top of the trains. It is extremely dangerous for people to risk their lives for this 😠Over 160 people have been arrested so far this year for it, with the average age being 14! A few kids have tragically died this year due to it 😢

If you really want to, instead subway surf 🏄 inside the train with your feet planted on the floor so you can train those core muscles to balance while the train is moving 💪
