I think it's common knowledge, or should be, that the current Shaolin Temple is a government created tourist attraction where the monks perform Contemporary Wusu. The creation of this tourist attraction was influenced by the popularity of Jet Li's movie "The Shaolin Temple." This made the govt. realize they had an international attraction. This doesn't mean the "monks" aren't fit or that what they do cannot be called Kung-Fu, just that it isn't what it pretends to be. That is, any more than Disney World is a real Medieval Castle.
