I’d argue the prodigy and strong arm are the best all around military knives. I always saw the them in the BX when I was active.

I batoned mine through a nail in a pallet inadvertently one time, trying to make kindling. I was impressed that the nail didn't hurt it. I wish I still had that knife lol

Ppl talk 💩 about Gerber, but that line of knives is indestructible.
I put my Strongarm through abuse none of my other knives ever went through, and it’s still in very serviceable condition

I have one exactly like that. Fifty bucks at Walmart. It's made of lowly 420HC (GASP!). Doesn't hold an edge for long, but it sharpens easily, and to a very fine edge. But I have pounded that knife through more abuse than I would have ever thought it could take, and it's no worse for wear. Good edge geometry combined with very tough steel, and with extremely high resistance to rust- for a survival type knife, it's more than fit for task and purpose.

The prodigy was a great budget blade I had like ten years ago and I always thought they looked really similar

Isn't this the same blade steel Buck uses and advertised it would cut through anything? Apparently, this blade steel does if processed correctly. ...only on the PBKG channel! You never disappoint!!
