This is a great alternative set up to the original Bulgarian ballerina.
One of the things I love most about this set up is the PNF affect. You naturally can take advantage of by using a band.
Start by your band around a post at kneehigh and step inside the loop of the band of the band is just above your hip on the pelvis on the far side.
You can use an arm on the post to help maintain balance and bring the detention as you place the inside of the lower leg. That’s farthest away flat to the bench with the foot open.
Your standing leg will be in line with the knee on the bench opening away from that side with the foot pointing toward the anchor point.
Rotate your torso toward the standing leg and press the leg so it’s fully extending as you pull from the eye doctors of the leg on the bench.
Hold this flex for 5 to 10 seconds before relaxing and shifting your weight forward over the knee taking the adductors into a stretch for 10 seconds.
Repeat this cycle for two minutes per side
