I use a Sony A6000 for stream. Anywhere from 3 to 6 hrs on top of accidentally leaving it on overnight after stream for 10 to 12 hrs and still no overheating. A6000 is a monster!!

What dummy battery did you use?

It's hard to find a dedicated FF streaming camera. Some of us need the low light performance and blurred out backgrounds.

Can you do us a favor and explain what settings youโ€™re using to achieve this?

Same camera, dummy battery, 1080p60, yet it still overheats and shuts off a little over an hour on HDMI. Clearly either you have some alternate settings or my camera is a dud.

If you were looking for a sub-$1000 streaming camera, would you go for the Obsbot Tail Air, the Sony ZV-E10, or something else entirely?

My Sony 6100 gets really hot at around 4hours, should I be shutting it down or will it be okay to continue using it like that every day? 4-6hours

If you're just getting started you should be spending more than $50 for a camera. A used C920 is perfect for just getting started. Dr. Disrespect had thousands of viewers with that camera. He uses a Brio now.

Buying gear for the sake of having gear will just overwhelm you in the long term. Let the guy making thousands of dollars a month off his outsourced music amass all the junk.
