As you pulling up you moving your torso & head away from the bar, which means you need to counterbalance your legs and hips.
Ideally when doing a pull up you should be holding your feet slightly forward 👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼 so you holding your torso in a hollow hold, bud is the perfect pull up.
This however does move the center of mass forward making it tough as hell so beginners should only be introduced to this when they’ve mastered a traditional dead hang pull up.
This is WHY a machine pull up IS NOT ideal for learning to do a pull up because of the lack of ab activation at a lower volume.
