Fortuner or Hilux both get shift in 6th gear only if speed is above 110kmph, any thing less than that it wont get in 6th

yes meron, ang technique para mag engage 6th gear bumitaw ka sa gas @100+kph makikita mo mag d-drop rpm 6th gear na yon. 5th gear 100kph 1800-1900rpm 6th gear 1600-1700rpm @100kph

simply lift off the throttle a bit @ 80kmh above. u’ll enter 6th gear no prob

Contrary to popular belief the fortuner/hilux’s manual shifting mode does not act like other manual mode’s / triptronic systems. It only acts as a limit to what gear the transmission can use. Ex: if you are in s4 it will still act as if it is in normal auto though only limited to what gear you have set it to
