It's fortunate that you found such a solid crew. Roofing is quite different in Portugal from the U.S.. Europe in has a different approach to construction in general. From the archival techniques to modern advancement. A living roof on one section would have been interesting too.

These guys are LEGENDS! Every team you guys have hired are highly skilled, and have done stellar jobs! Anyone who thinks this roof situation is the fault of the Ukrainian wizards have not paid attention or they don’t watch every episode. I have been fascinated watching your progress and the logistics of building with concrete vs wood. So much work!!!! The chiseling, the plastering, and the way the roofers/jack of all trades laid that initial roof down. Woah! Then they masterminded the (hydraulic?) lifting of the turret!!! Again, LEGENDS!

What a hassle to have to fix leaks. I'm glad this is pre move-in and fixed right moving forward. I am also very hopeful you don't have mold or other moisture damage. Seems unlikely since the house is mostly stone. Is your house well ventilated to combat mold?

Your content reminds me over and over that people all over the world live in old homes and repurposed structures that were once something besides a home. I recently moved into a home that keeps needing work done here and there, and it is by many standards outside the US, not that old as it was built in the late 1960s. As things need fixing, I remind myself that old doesn't automatically equal bad anymore than brand new automatically means it's going to be good. You all help me find peace & feel better about my home choice rather than thinking I made a mistake just because things are not perfect! Thank you!❤
