The Arabs brought that recipe. Itâs called el taco Ărabe. The Mexicans use the recipe and preparation for that certain taco. The Mexicans put their spices and veggies on it. What is nice about the Arabs is that they donât pretend that they invented tacos, like other groups would. Mexico gives credit where itâs due. The taco goes back to pre Colombian times when the tortilla was used as a spoon. Some ppl still make a scoop with a folded piece of tortilla as a spoon.

"Sheverma" (çevirme) is not Arabic.. It is Turkish more commonly called as "döner". Both words in pure Turkish mean exactly the same (turning thing). Turkish is an agglutinative language and when you are Turkish you can easily recognize Turkish roots and suffixes that make up the word.

Al pastor (pastor) means shepherd style , that is roasting meat spitted vertically, brought to Mexico by Christian Lebanese immigrants that had no problem eating pork.
