Are your drill bits too small for your drill? In this video I'll show you a trick to make them fit just fine. If you're like me you have an assortment of small drill bits that are too small to fit in your drill. I have actually used tape and other methods to make them fit but the results were not good. As they say "necessity is the mother of invention" so this is what I came up with. I hope it helps.

Electrical tape works too, or any kind of tape because it fills the gap

For higher accuracy, use a "small drill bit adapter".

will heat shrink works also in router bit that falls off their router? or should i basically just buy a replacement shank/collet?

Only problem is micro bits tend to snap just before penetration which is why I don't chuck them to tight. This was the drill spins instead of snapping. these hacks will work in a pinch but a adapter chuck is like 5 bucks

I have a hand Yankee drill for these small bits - I keep breaking them off with anything less delicate.

With that heat shrink tubing it won't fit back in the drillbit container.

Don't buy a Ryobi.....

As much as people πŸ’© on Ryobi though and to placate both sides, they are the only ones to maintain a consistent battery platform and they do hold up
