I always use the symbol of sloppy fishes. Bubbles gone, but fishes sometimes come back... ๐Ÿ˜…

I'm 60 yrs old women, 3 of my adult kids have adhd and my dad. Just got diagnosed this has always happened to me I always forget what's in my right hand and put things down I forget where i put things.. This is also what I experience for years and never knew this was common in adhd, except I never had the hyperactive part I can't tell you how encouraging this is to know alot of us have this not just me.

๐ŸŽ‰ Finally, a way to explain the way the thoughts disappear just as I try to pin them down with words

So this is a common aspect of ADHD?
Just got diagnosed - a bit over a month ago.
But I've used note apps for years and before that small notepad and pen carried with me.

The worst are names, and I've noticed over the past few years I'm even getting bad with famous peoples names, including actors that I like and household names.

This is the perfect description, how to solve it or mitigate? I try to make myself remember by repeating previous steps on what I was doing, donโ€™t always work thoughโ€ฆ

Also still walking with the umbrella and finally you see no one with it anymore
Then you realise the rain is gone several minutes
But me or maybe you was/were distracted

It's a real thing, short term memory loss... perfect example. I feel like I'm Lucy Whitmore in 50 first dates. I sleep.. And it's wiped clean like a blank slate. Lol
