In my state you must put because we have high radon you must put at least 6 mL of plastic under your foundation. I plan on putting this type of natural ventilation and air conditioning and I figure from the humidity I'll paint the inside with kills and I'll wrap the outside in plastic

Letβs also consider that the air going through the tubes comes from above ground. Piping this air into the home will help get rid of some of any radon gas build up

I remember one of my coworkers was previously at a company that accidentally noticed that cancer rates actually ticked up just a bit if the radon levels went too low. They toyed with the idea of selling radon gas to trickle in the house to put you at the best level for protection but didn't want to risk lawsuits in front of a jury that didn't understand statistics.

Still would not hurt to keep a leaf blower to blow it out your tubes since radon is heavy gas. Love to y'all

Radon is the decay of matter in the earth, but the pipes should block the radon .

Given that the point of the tubes is to circulate air, radon concerns seem unlikely.

Don't think radon would enter through the tubes as the inlet is above ground. With geothermal tubes and roof heat chimney plenty of ventilation.

If the pipes are sealed - Radon cannot get in.

I find it hard to believe that radon would be able to build up in a tube that's sealed below ground level, designed to have fresh air pushed through it all the time. If you've got radon build-up it's not from the earth tubes.

You are also located in an area that was not irradiated to all hell during all the testings back in the early years of government run programs, so the radiation wasn't there to leach into the soils from exposure!
