Like the Labrador, they can be easy if well trained. Two problems both breeds have: joints and they tend to grow fat easily. So one needs discipline feeding them.

Is there any truth to them being aggressive toward other dogs, I've had a lot of negative experiences introducing my dog to Goldens but maybe this is beacause of poor breeding practices and bad training?

What’s a very golden like breed that isn’t so Massive. I still want all year round adventures, but fits into my tiny apartment.
My BorderCollieXPomeranian is a great dog but I’m gunna be in my mid fifties when I’m ready for another dog after him.

Reminder, easy to train doesn't mean it comes trained, I was "attacked" by one when I was a kid, it wasn't aggression, it just ran up to me and tried to play with me by dragging me by the hand, sweet dog shitty owners
