I was watching a documentary about the bears in Mammoth Lake, and a baby bear got hit and killed by a car. The sound of wailing that the mom made was soul crushing! It almost sounded human. This is why we need to treat all animals with dignity and respect, especially the ones that feed us. They also feel love compassion sadness and fear!

When I had two Huskies and one would die, there was always grief from the other dog. Of course animals grieve. Elephant who find dead elephants that have been killed for their husks, loudly trumpet in grief. Husks are ever growing, should be treated as a renewable resource. This butchering is like killing a person for their fingernails. Ridiculous! The government shouid say you have a length you must leave on the elephant so they can function, letting the elephant continues to provide, and live! We have this in the U.S. with fish size, lobster, and deer hunting, etc. Licensing helps too.

If youve ever had a pet (or worked with animals ) you'd know that they have complex emotions just as we do. I have an 11yo GSD who struggles with anxiety and hes a very sweet guy. When my ex abandoned him with me when he was 6, I saw this poor dog sit at the door waiting for him to come back. He didnt eat for 3 days. It broke my heart! Ive had him ever since and I've seen many different emotions from surprise, sadness, fear ( thunderstorms ) caring, concern and even compassion. One that always stands out with him is love. ❤
I believe all animals have emotions. Just like how different cultures show emotions differently, I think animals do as well. Due to genetics and yes, culture, they may not show them like us primates do, but if you watch them you'll see it.

They have more empathy than some humans.
