Love the way you said this. When I read the new testament and learned about Jesus, it just sealed the deal for me that I want to serve and obey him and put aside my own stuff. It was a no-brainer for me. Plus, I simplified my life tremendously. I love the Holy Spirit for guiding me to truth, the Lord Jesus because I truly believe in him and who he is, I love God because he's my father and I want to be with them for eternity.

Omigosh! I was just telling my brother this! Also reading the OT helps you see the hand of God in your life and the world around you because you learn how God intervenes and uses common folk and leaders to bring about events. God ALWAYS has the final say.
The OT helped me to see the richness and overall wisdom of the good and bad that occurs. It can still hurt but I know the God I’m relying on will always lead me in the right direction. I trust Him and can’t wait to be with Him forever❤
