Someone once told me I “got worse” after my adhd diagnosis. I told them I did not get worse. I just simply allowed myself to exist and not mask my insecurities anymore. ❤

8. The trick is to clean and cook at the same time. It keeps you in the zone the whole time and there’s no mess at the end!

I was diagnosed as a kid but didn’t realize what it truly meant until I found channels like this one in my thirties, and found other people who deal with the same things as me. How to ADHD is a great channel as well. All these people have helped me realize that I’m not lazy, or stupid, or useless. So even though they’re silly thank you for making these videos.

The verbal instructions thing is huge to me. I'll occasionally talk to someone and they'll say something, which I hear and I know what they said... But I literally just can't process it?? Like my brain just cannot retain the words long enough to decipher meaning. It's like eating a candy without being told the flavor, and you're like "Yes, I know this! But wtf is the taste?!"

While all that is great and is the reason I get out of bed every day, I still metaphorically cry myself to sleep, since the rest of the world hasn't gotten the memo.

More like if there’s a deadline, I’m gonna procrastinate until 2 days before the due date 😂

This is so relatable! I judge myself a lot less now that I understand myself but I still struggle to accept my big reactions to things. Part of me wishes I could be calm and collected

I no longer blame myself for these failings, but I don't pretend they aren't failings and that we don't need to adapt. Avoid copouts while also not being unduly critical of yourself.

So you are a regular person who can’t exercise any self control
