Composing a good looking vlog shot with the Sony REQUIRES a stick, just to compose our shots right (Face vs background ratio.). Thankfully, the added distance makes the face look more normal, noses less bulbous. We generally come no closer than an arm and a half distance from others when we talk with. Viewers feel uncomfortable watching a face recorded much closer than that - even when a wide lens makes that face take up only a small portion of the screen. Close faces look too distorted, too artificially intimate - or confrontational!
