A few years ago I built a high voltage spark-gap switch and used Photron cameras to capture the trigger spark's path and speed. The camera maxed out at 450000 fps... Beautiful (expensive) toys! Thanks for posting!

The Slo Mo Guys and ElectroBOOM teamed up like a year ago to do this with their highest speed Phantom. Even in B&W at like 1.8 MILLION FPS, the arc travel was still basically instant... 🤯
