While you plan to visit Thiruchendur Murugan temple, do remember to add a day to visit Nava Tirupathi. The temples are beautiful and in a quiet atmosphere. Absolutely no crowd on a normal weekend, the carvings in each pillar and the long corridors is simply breathtaking. One can take enormous reference from each carvings in the temple to add in traditional paintings.

Nava Tirupati refers to a group of nine Hindu temples dedicated to Vishnu, located on the Tiruchendur-Tirunelveli route, Tamil Nadu, India, on the banks of the Thamirabarani river.
All the nine temples are classed as 'Divya Desams', the 108 temples of Lord Vishnu named by Tamil Azhvars. We can visit all nine temple in same day.
If we start by 8:00 AM, before 12:00 noon we can visit first 5 temples.
After lunch, we can visit 4 temple and we can start to Thiruchendur by 4:00pm itself.
