💫 Waking up at the same time consistently. Keep a regular wake and sleep time so you don’t need a stressful alarm ripping you out of deep sleep leaving you feeling groggy for the rest of the day
💫 Drink water before any caffeine! Fill your bottle the night before and add your electrolytes (see comments for my favourite!) this optimises your hydration and mineral absorption. Your body can easily get dehydrated at night from the detoxing and other physiological processes.
💫 Natural sunlight before screens. leave your phone OFF for at LEAST 30min so you don’t overstimulate and stress your brain first thing instead start your day positively with a clear head (And by the way, the earlier you go on social media, the more likely you’re going to go on it throughout the day, as your brain crave that dopamine fix even more)
Instead step outside, get the morning light in your eyes as this lets your body know its morning, resets your circadian rhythm, gives you a slow and natural release of energy.
💫 FUEL YOUR BODY: don’t run all morning on an empty fuel tank - this will keep your energy more stable throughout the day, avoid cravings, and keep your hormones happy. I add 2 scoops of collagen to my morning coffee as this is 20grams of protein then I eat after I’ve worked out. Do not underestimate the power this can have on your day and your health.
