So a good rule of thumb is to only buy new things you can actually afford and to not buy them on credit. Then, set a budget and stick to it.
This way, when you're tempted to buy something on an impulse, you've put a hard stop on it if it exceeds your budget.
Then, when you've analyzed and predicted the full cost of that item, and you still want to go ahead with it, you can now budget for it.
This will keep you out of financial trouble!

We are addicted to credit in Canada. 50% of us have less than $200 at the end of the month so we are in a cycle - most canāt build up cash enough so stop, even if we tried š© We have the biggest personal debt load of any āadvancedā country and we are still printing cash like crazy so interest is just going up š¤Ø luckily I only have $8000 in loans with interest and about $5000 without so I have been able to start saving. I feel so lucky to not be in that bottom half

in america u need to use ur credit card a bit to get a credit score, if u have a low credit score, u will have a hard time buying a house or car, plus credit cards r meant to be used to buy things u can't afford, and u pay for it steadily for a few months
