I think Abby is talking a lot about Gia here… I wasn’t a regular watcher of the show, but Gianna has said in interviews that Abby was there to help her find essential items for dance, like shoes. It makes me wonder if her own mom wasn’t that interested or didn’t have the funds to take care of those needs, so Abby stepped up to help. And we do know Gianna was one of her students who was a winner, highly skilled and motivated to do well. I know the internet likes to pick apart the cast of DM, especially Abby but this is one of those things we see happening long before the show ever started

When my girls were in dance, the owner of the company made sure all those things were taken care of all we did was pay for him. They ordered them. They made sure they got in. The money they paid Abby they shouldn’t have had to be running around getting all the parts to a costume.
