I knew it was an issue. I was careful and it ripped directly anyway!
To remove the left over ring I had to use a small screwdriver. Should have used that from the beginning.
You have to realize that there are good ones, and bad ones. If yours don't break, congratulations but it doesn't make you a better person than others 😅

there is a technique to pulling these silicone eartips. Roll out the flared section outwards so you can hold onto the stem. pinch and pull. reapply with the same technique.
i dont know if people are technologically challenged but there is no way one should be able to rip out stems from tips. even cheap knock off brands have eartips that are never ripped out unless you are desperately trying to chop them off.

Posts like this NEED to reflect the current date!!
Videos can be viewed months later and without correct reference the infirmation once relevant isnt anymore across time and affects consumers/viewers having a no longer valid point of view/redence when manufacturering defects and recalls ans halted shipments to fix the issue have been alr already done. This is August 10th 2024 and yesterday Samsung has re-commenced shipments resolving priduct defect and quality issues.

Mine were fine out of the box. I changed the tips right away, no problem. Two weeks later after wearing the buds, I tried to switch to a different size, and the tips were IMPOSSIBLE to get off. When I tried to get leverage, my fingernails caused a slight rip, which got worse the more I tried. Samsung is sending me replacement tips.

To all the people saying that people are taking the tips off wrong, we are not. The tips are made up of two different parts, the soft outer silicone and a hard inner plastic which attaches to the buds and I'm not sure how are they stuck(most probably some adhesive) but they came apart when I was changing one of my eartips for a different size and it is just plain disappointment.

They just rip them the hell off. If you take them off correctly they will not rip. But yeah somebody should do some better quality control over there for how much people are paying for these things. I have never had a pair of Samsung buds rip on me ever.
Sounds like people are going beast mode on these things.

Relax guys. This has only mainly affected the South Korean market. Thanks to all Korean youtubers who reported to Samsung early. I can't imagine paying premium prices only to receive a faulty product.
