As a citizen of Myanmar, Naypyidaw is the most useless thing the military government could've made. It is none other than their pitiful attempt at making a super city that could rival other countries in their brains and waste tax money but the citizens didn't give a single fuck or rather the citizens couldn't. The government also did awful things to force people to move to Naypyidaw but they failed. Now only families of government officials, military personnel stationed at Naypyidaw and a few people live there

It wasnโt constructed to house millions of people. It was built first and foremost as a city purely for government officials similar to the NAC being built in Egypt. The general population had no involvement, barely knew what it was, and therefore donโt care to live there. The capital doesnโt even have infrastructure to support millions of people like a city would.

As a burmese. Pyimana is in naypyitaw but its very loud. But Lewe is More quieter but those 2 towns have airports wnd Pyinmanas airport is preffered due to its runway and lewes airport is used for cargo or fighter jets.

Yangon is near the coast and has an airport where international flights can come, this means reporters can gain knowledge of the government plans
The Myanmar gov does not want the world to know what they do and hence made our capital city isolated so the world wont find out their plans or moves
