Bridge city HP-8 is perfect for this technique since you can attach the chamfer mod using screws on the leveling/depth skids.
Much cleaner and tighter (and likely faster) than double-sided tape.

Don't forget to remove the oil/rust protection from the tape side of the plane bottom before taping. Neat technique.
